Beyond the Veil of Illusions
Walking a spiritual path means committing to continuous growth. At some point, we decide to choose ourselves—to look beyond the illusion created by our experiences, beliefs, fears, and habits. We consciously work to free ourselves from these illusions, whether they cling to us or we have built them ourselves. The feeling of „knowing it all” fades away, replaced by curiosity. We develop a desire to explore what lies within us and beyond the world we know. At the same time, we seek to understand the gap we sense between ourselves and reality.
Illusion stays with us as long as we perceive it as useful or valuable. We’ve given it meaning, and the only way to dissolve it is to strip it of its perceived value, rendering it meaningless. In other words, we must see the naked truth.
The word “illusion” itself shows that it is not reality. It has no inherent meaning. Only what we think or feel about it can create a false sense of reality for us.
Recognizing Illusion – The Path to Accepting Reality
Illusions often arises from our inability to accept reality as it is. Creating theories leads to a unique perception of reality. Each of us walks our own path, seeing only a fragment of the whole. So from our perspective, we may all feel we are right. However, we only see a fragment of the full picture.
We can never see the whole truth because growth happens when we gain new perspectives on things. This continuous shift fuels our desire for knowledge and curiosity to understand more about the world around us.
Even believing that we know everything is an illusion. True learning can only happen when we accept that we need it. Listening to the voice of the heart helps us find the right direction.
The power of illusion lies in its ability to deceive us, blurring the line between what is real and what is not. Life’s lessons come to us so that we may live more freely and happily, with a greater degree of freedom made possible by knowledge.
This understanding can only be achieved through personal experience; theoretical knowledge alone is insufficient. Learning and experience pave the way for expanding our vision and finding the path that leads us forward in our development.
