Expressing gratitude and saying thank you means recognizing and valuing what we have received from someone.
Why is this so important? – One might ask.
If we do not show gratitude for what we receive (or for what we do not receive), we are not living from the heart.
For example, love cannot be seen, but we know it exists. We experience it, appreciate it, and are grateful for it. If we know love exists but do not experience it or allow it to flow in our lives, it remains mere information without substance.
Gratitude journals and practices teach routines, but they do not teach us how to use the energy of the heart. We must learn to engage our hearts; only then will the practices work effectively.
To “do someone a favor” means to act from the heart (from love), not from the head, arguments, interests, logic or anticipated benefits.
The vibration of the heart is elevated through prayer (or meditation). This allows us to connect with God. When we learn to maintain a constant connection with Him, we will understand that we are never alone, sharing in the love and care flowing toward us.
Faith
Faith is a powerful and positive energy. It activates the energy of the heart, raising its frequency and attracting things into our lives. We can only create with faith. Asking without faith is like trying to communicate in a language we do not understand.
Gratitude can be felt both when we receive something and when we do not. It arises from events in our lives whose positive, blessed effects we can sense.
An open heart chakra helps us connect with others. As we express our emotions, our experiences become clearer. When we show love to ourselves and others, love reflects back to us.
